WHAT IS BASIC?
Wild at Heart BASIC is Wild at Heart Boot Camp led by John Eldredge and his team through video session in your local area.
Basic is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.” It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God.
In 2018, I attended a Wild at Heart Boot Camp in Wales with a friend of mine from the United Kingdom. After that life-changing experience, I knew God calling me to “Bring this with me!” I knew it meant I should bring a Wild at Heart Boot Camp to other men in my life. Since then I have run them in both France and Germany.

OPENING NIGHT Check-in is from 4-6pm on Thursday evening. A meal is from 6-6:50pm. The opening session, “The Heart of a Man,” starts at 7pm. After the first session, there will be time at the fire pit from 9-10pm.
EVENT PREPARATION If possible, prior to the retreat, we encourage you to read the book “Wild at Heart “by John Eldridge. We also encourage you to make the weekend a cell phone and electronics free zone and to “unplug” in order to be fully plugged-in to what God is saying to you.
